14001:2015 → ISO 14001:2026 Transition Training OVERVIEW Businesses are increasingly recognizing the environmental implications of their operations and services. The ISO 14001 framework is a comprehensive solution that allows you to cut waste, prevent pollution, and increase operating efficiency. This course covers all the accepted principles of the environmental standard and the methodology for implementing and managing the environmental management system within an organization being focused on the transition from ISO14001:2015 to ISO14001: 2026 TARGET AUDIENCE EMS (Environmental Management System) managers, HSE professionals, internal auditors, consultants PRE-REQUISITE Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 DURATION 1 full day (8 hours) or 2 half days; TRAINING CONTENT: WELCOME, OBJECTIVES & TRANSITION CONTEXT · ISO 14001 revision cycle and rationale for the 2026 edition · Transition timelines and certification body expectations CONTEXT OF THE ORGANIZATION (CLAUSE 4) · Explicit integration of environmental factors (climate, pollution, biodiversity). · The EMS scope must include the full product/service lifecycle. ACTION: Update the context analysis and the map of interested parties. LEADERSHIP AND COMMITMENT (Clause 5) · New terminology: “fulfillment of compliance obligations” replaces “compliance”. · Emphasis on the conservation of natural resources and protection of ecosystems. ACTION: Review the environmental policy and engage executive leadership. PLANNING (CLAUSE 6) · New sub-clause 6.3 – Management of changes within the EMS. · Emergency situations should be clearly separated from abnormal operations. ACTION: Update risk registers and action plans accordingly. SUPPORT (CLAUSE 7) · All EMS records are now considered documented information. · Internal communication must actively promote employee engagement. ACTION: Review training and communication processes to ensure effectiveness. OPERATION (CLAUSE 8) · “Outsourced processes” is replaced by “externally provided processes, products, or services”. · Expanded operational control over suppliers and partners. ACTION: Strengthen supply chain management and emergency preparedness. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION (CLAUSE 9) · Explicit requirement to evaluate environmental performance and EMS effectiveness. · Internal audits must include clear objectives. ACTION: Optimize internal audits and management review processes IMPROVEMENT (CLAUSE 10) · Clause 10.1 is removed; its content is integrated into 10.2

For in-person public courses, the fee includes the event venue, coffee, refreshments, and lunch. It does not include accommodation or other travel expenses. ht+a will share accommodation discount options with you if available and recommends booking 2 weeks before an event to ensure the event is a confirmed go-ahead. ht+a is not liable for travel expense losses due to cancellation by either party, weather, flight delays, or other unforeseen circumstances. For in-person in-house courses, unless otherwise specified, pricing assumes the training will take place at the client's location and ht+a will not provide catering. The Client will ensure that the training room will be equipped with all necessary tools including flip charts, markers, video projectors/screens, appropriate furnishings and ample electrical outlets. Sustainability & Materials: - Delegates require an email address and a stable and active internet connection with suitable equipment (computer, smartphone or tablet) to access course materials and, where applicable, to complete online tests and join live video calls. - Printed course materials will not be provided, including for in-person or in-house events. Customers may print their course materials if desired. - ht+a no longer provides publications (textbooks) as part of the course fee. It is the customer's responsibility to procure any supplementary material either as an add-on from ht+a (payment is required in advance), OR from the VDA (https://shorturl.at/fbHJs) or the AIAG (https://shorturl.at/z73jg) directly (all corresponding shipping and duties will be for the customer's account). Due to copyright, ht+a does not provide digital copies of publications. - Digital certificates will be provided. Certificates for VDA QMC courses will only be issued once full payment is received. Certificates for ht+a courses will be automatically issued upon completion of course requirements. Customers may print their certificate if desired.
