About This Course

ABOUT THIS COURSE: AI Foundations, workforce AI capability for manufacturing and industrial operations OVERVIEW Most companies now have people who understand AI. Far fewer have people who use it well, and fewer still who know when not to use it. AI Foundations closes that gap. The course is built around doing. Every participant works on a task from their own job, in the AI tool their employer has already approved, and leaves with output they would put their name to. Safe use is taught as part of the craft rather than as a separate rules session, so participants learn what must never go into a public tool, how to spot output that is confidently wrong, and which decisions a human has to keep. The course also produces workforce level evidence for your EU AI Act Article 4 file. It supports and operationalises those obligations. It does not certify compliance, and no single course does. Companies use AI Foundations to: ● Move a whole function from awareness to confident daily use ● Set one safe use standard across teams and sites ● Collect real automation ideas from the people doing the work ● Document workforce AI literacy for TISAX and customer audits TARGET AUDIENCE - Any employee, any function: purchasing, HR, line and tool maintenance, quality, finance, back office - Those who have tried AI tools and want to use them properly - Teams asked to adopt AI without a clear standard for safe use - Companies that need documented workforce AI literacy TRAINING CONTENT ● What generative AI is, and how it differs from ordinary software ● Language models, training data and knowledge cut-offs ● Why AI sounds certain when it is wrong ● The prompting pattern: role, context, structure, constraints ● Iterating instead of starting over ● Hands on work on a real task from your own job ● Spotting invented detail, stale facts and bias before they cause damage ● The clipboard test, and which tool tier is approved for which data ● Output is a draft, not a fact ● The decisions a human must always own ● Building a personal prompt playbook ● Writing an AI opportunity one pager from your own work ● Scenario-based safe use check ASSESSMENT By artefact, not by quinot by quiz. Completion requires attendance, the submitted one pager and prompt playbook, and a pass on a short scenario based safe use check. The check is retakeable. COURSE PRE-REQUISITES None. DELIVERY On site or remote, capped at 16 participants per cohort. DURATION 1 full day or 2 half days
